If you notice that your operating system has stop working or give you blue screen suddenly, you may have a problem with files from system. Before you go to a specialist to restore your system, you can try a fast repair . This can be made only with CD containing Windows XP. So:
* Switch system on the Windows XP CD. In case you have your computer set the BIOS to boot from the hard drive, you must first enter the BIOS and set the CD first start.
* When you are prompted, press Enter to install Windows XP.
* Once you press F8 to accept the license agreement (EULA), should be detected current installed system.
* Press R to repair the system.
* Necessary system files will be copied to the hard drive, then after a restart.
* Leave the system to boot normally from the hard drive, no CD, and the process continues.
Doing this will replace critical system files, but it is possible that some updates not to work so they must be reinstalled.
